StoneSteady

Your app was built with AI. Find out what breaks before your customers do.

I test AI-built web apps the way real users will: on real phones and desktops, through the flows your customers depend on. You get a ranked report of what to fix first, with a video of each problem happening.

Founded by a senior quality assurance professional with over 10 years of experience. Fixed prices from US$390, no sales call required, delivered in 5 or 10 business days depending on the audit.

Prefer to talk first? Book 15 minutes.

Two audits. Fixed price, fixed scope.

If customers can pay you or store data in the app, take the Full Audit. If you want a first look at a small app or a single critical path, take the Entry Audit. If your app needs more than the cap, I tell you before starting and quote the difference. You are never charged more than the price on the card without agreeing to it first.

Entry Audit

A first look at a small app, or one critical path.

US$390

One payment. No subscription.

  • One web app, up to 3 user flows (for example sign-up, login, and the one thing your product does)
  • Desktop Chrome plus a real iPhone running Safari
  • Functional testing and an exploratory pass
  • Ranked findings report plus walkthrough video
  • Not in Entry: API checks, Android, Firefox, page speed, accessibility. Those are in the Full Audit.

Delivered within 5 business days once I have your app's address and test logins.

Buy the Entry Audit

Not sure which audit fits, or whether your app is ready for one? Email me your app's address and I reply within one business day with a straight answer, before you pay anything. More than one app, or more flows than the cap? Same address, and I quote it.

Prices are in US dollars. Business days are Monday to Friday in Brisbane, Australia (UTC+10). Both audits are covered by the audit terms.

What I check, and how

Every audit follows the same method. What each tier covers is marked below and on the price cards.

  • User flows, end to end. Sign-up, login, the core thing your product does, checkout or payment, password reset. I go through each one the way a careful user would, then the way a careless one would.
  • API behavior on those flows. What the browser sends, what comes back, and what happens when a request is malformed, repeated, oversized, or sent without a login. Full Audit only.
  • Real devices, not emulators. A real iPhone running Safari on every audit. Real Android, plus desktop Firefox and Safari, on the Full Audit.
  • Page speed where it matters. Core Web Vitals on the pages your customers actually load. Full Audit only.
  • Accessibility observations. Keyboard use and screen-reader behavior, reported as things to fix. Never a certification. Full Audit only.
  • An exploratory pass. The part no scanner does. I try what a rushed user would try, then what a hostile one would.

What you receive

  • A ranked findings report. Each finding states its severity, where it is, how to reproduce it, and what to do about it.
  • A walkthrough video showing each problem happening, so your developer or your AI tool can fix it without guessing.
  • A short call afterward, if you want one.

How findings are ranked

This is the report's structure. Each finding sits under one of these headings with its location, reproduction steps, and a fix note.

Critical Data can be lost or reached by the wrong person, or payment is broken.
High A core flow is broken, or wide open.
Medium Degraded function, weak checks, missing validation or rate limiting, performance cliffs.
Low Error-handling gaps, accessibility issues, dependency risks with plausible user impact.

How it works

  1. Buy the audit. Card checkout through Stripe. You land on a short intake form straight after.
  2. Fill in the intake. Your app's address and the flows you care about, plus anything you already suspect is broken. Test logins come by reply to my confirmation email, never through the form. The turnaround clock starts the day I have what I need.
  3. Talk to me if you want to. A 15-minute intro call is there for the asking. Most people will not need it. Email gets a reply within one business day.
  4. I test. You hear from me during the audit only if I am blocked.
  5. You get the report and the video. Read the top findings first. They are ranked for a reason.
  6. Fix it, or have the fixes directed and re-tested. See after the audit.

A full sample report is being built and publishes here when it is ready

It is a teardown of a demo app I built to be broken on purpose, with the complete report and walkthrough video, exactly what a client receives. Want it the day it lands? Email me with the subject "sample report" and I send it once. No list, no follow-ups.

Until then, the method above and the audit terms describe in full what you are buying.

Who does the work

Hi, I'm Monika, and every StoneSteady audit is done by me. I spent a decade finding what breaks in other people's software, several of those years building automated tests in Playwright. For the past year I have worked daily inside agentic AI coding tools, so I know what they get right and which defaults they leave in place.

I hold the ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification (Australia and New Zealand Testing Board, 2019). I work from Queensland, Australia, and take clients anywhere the work can be done over the internet. Automation runs my checks; the judgment in your report is mine.

Not included, on purpose

  • Penetration testing. Never, at any tier. It needs qualifications and legal authorizations I do not hold, and I will not pretend otherwise. Security problems I meet during normal testing, like an endpoint that answers without a login, are reported like any other finding.
  • Native mobile apps. Web apps only, including web apps used on real phones.
  • Load testing. I measure speed. I do not simulate ten thousand users.
  • Accessibility certification. Observations, yes. A WCAG conformance claim, no.
  • Fixing your code. The audit finds and ranks the problems. Fixing them is a separate, quoted engagement. Expect the list to be longer than you would like.

Available on request, only with a signed, scoped authorization letter: a security configuration review. It is never called a penetration test.

After the audit

Most people fix the findings themselves or with their AI tool. If you want the fixes directed and re-tested, or ongoing checks once you are live, I quote that separately after the report.

  • Fix Verification. I write developer-ready fix instructions for each finding. Your developer, or your AI tool with a human at the keyboard, makes the changes, and I re-test each one until it is verified closed. I do not change your code by default. Quoted after your audit; expected range US$1,100 to 2,500.
  • Monitoring. Uptime checks, a weekly automated run through your key flows, a quarterly re-audit, and a monthly report, for products that are live and still changing. From US$290 a month.
  • Managed Test Suite. A 30 to 40 test Playwright suite that lives in your repo and stays yours, run weekly and on every deploy, with a senior human reading every failure so flaky runs are filtered out before they reach you. US$1,200 a month plus a setup fee quoted after your audit.

Want any of these? Email me or book a 15-minute scoping call.

Working is not the same as tested.

If you are not sure a working app needs checking, three numbers.

98%

of 1,072 live vibe-coded apps scanned by Symbiotic Security in 2026 had at least one security flaw.1

172

of the 1,072 apps let anyone delete database records without logging in at all.1

45%

of AI-generated code samples in Veracode's 2025 study introduced OWASP Top 10 security vulnerabilities, even as the models got better at writing code that runs.2

None of this argues against building with AI. It argues for checking what was built before real people depend on it. The tools are good at writing code that runs. Whether it holds up when a customer does something unexpected is a different question, and it is the one I answer.

Both sources sell security tooling; their methods are published and cited here.

  1. Symbiotic Security, "We scanned 1,072 vibe-coded apps: 98% had security flaws", 2026. Passive, non-intrusive scan of live Supabase-backed apps built with Lovable, v0, Bolt, Replit, Windsurf, Tempo and FlutterFlow.
  2. Veracode, 2025 GenAI Code Security Report: 100+ models, 80 coding tasks mapped to MITRE CWE.

Questions people ask before buying

Will your testing affect my live app or my real customers?

I test with the accounts you create and never against real customer data. If you have a staging copy, I use it. If not, we agree in the intake on what I will not touch, and I never run anything destructive without asking first.

Who sees my code and my data?

I test the running app through the browser and its API, using test accounts you create. I do not need your source code. Logins you give me are deleted when the report is delivered. I keep the report as my business record, and I may quote anonymized totals across all audits, with nothing that identifies you or your product. Details are in the privacy policy.

I built it with Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, Replit, or Claude Code. Does that matter?

No. I test the running product. Where you built it changes nothing about how a customer experiences it.

Is it too early? My app is not finished.

Audit when the flows you will charge for exist and work for you. If they do not yet, wait, or email me and I will say so honestly.

Do I have to get on a call?

No. Buy and fill in the intake. The work starts from there. The 15-minute intro call is there if you want it, and email gets a reply within one business day.

What do I need to give you?

The app's address, one or two test accounts you created for me, and the list of flows you care about. No source code.

Is a security scanner enough?

Scanners check security patterns. They do not check whether checkout completes or whether your app falls apart on an iPhone. An audit tests real user flows, ranks what it finds by real impact, shows each problem on video, and comes with a named person who checked and stakes her name on the result. A scanner is a fine first step. It is not a substitute at the level of trust your customers need.

What if you find nothing serious?

Then your report says so, and you have evidence for your launch that a senior tester could not break the main flows.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind before you start?

Yes. Until testing starts, cancel by email for a full refund. After that, the audit terms set out what happens.

How does the founding price work?

The Full Audit is US$690 instead of US$790 until November 8, 2026, or until five Full Audits have been sold at that price, whichever comes first. After that the list price applies. The Entry Audit is US$390 either way.

Where are you, and when do you work?

Queensland, Australia. Business days are Monday to Friday, Brisbane time (UTC+10). I work asynchronously across US, UK and Australian hours, so questions sent at the end of your day are usually answered by the start of the next.

Ready when you are
